Sine 03:59
Rivers in my brain are the sum of their mother’s hold Taughannok on the run and headed for an overflow it takes them all at once to make the plunge. Im just around the bend from taking it to heart yea just around corner from letting on. Try and play me but I don’t sleep Hold my head and love me sober we will ride the sine wave high and lying down. All my little rants can really make a scene. All my black and whites all my in betweens. Don’t you remember how the burning felt? You are standing there most every day to give some shade to my truth. And when I look back at our younger years you always knew where I hid. When the whole world watered protest signs along the avenue of our bed, Yea, the clouds they split their vapors up and let our light, golden hue shine through. Hold my head and love me sober. We will ride the sine wave high and lying down

Get Away 03:37
We couldn’t hold you down, We couldn’t light your way. A teenager grown too old, a basement concrete stage. You can bury it in cursive, bury it in gold. Keep your tunnel distance, and let me pay the cost. I told you the truth when the cowards around you couldn’t do it. You build your high rise to fall we lined the pavement with open arms We thought you’re always gonna get away with it aways gonna get away and now we’re gonna have to learn to live with out doing the right thing We were a hide and chase We held the bar too high I was a lonely insecure You were a reassuring guy You had a narrative of righteous I had a story yet to tell A motorcycle in the rain Driving dirty through time square We thought you always gonna get away with it you always gonna get away I told you the truth When the cowards around you couldn’t do it You build your high rise to fall They line the pavement with open arms We thought you’re always gonna get away with it aways gonna get away We’re gonna have to learn to live with out Doing the right thing

Catacomb 03:51
I take my coat and pull you close God knows the rain is gonna take its toll The weak come quick when the odds are stacked Fake religion hitchin by our roadside’s edge. I miss it most when the snow is here Boots and bars, smoke and mirrors Fearless words for fearful gods They came in late to sweep up after us. I can’t explain, I’m losing ground Singing someone else’s song I look for me in every word I ever wrote. You can’t take my life before it’s ready for your arms. The things in your life you most regret are the ones that kept me from leaving turned the car around. Our moments appear in the other’s dream a catacomb of a collective rain Will guard our years tonight. No one’s gonna get it right but if anyone can fail and try again it’s you who works every page. You turn it loose and back from where we first came. I can’t explain but I’m losing ground Like a father who has spent his whole life singing someone else’s song Yea but you can’t take my life before it’s ready for your arms.

Slow Down 03:57
Last night I found you at the center of it, waiting for someone to drown you. And I held up and old slide of you to the light, the image reversed on the ground. It had a lot to say. And so much life to fill. We still have time to pray. You still have time to kill. Slow down, this bar’s about to close. This isn’t like the city, your witnesses have to go home. The trains can’t run all night, you run all night. You’ve got an audience of adorning fans, waiting for you to unfold. But the angels, they rest on the end of your limbs and they take you wherever you want to go. It was a time to hew. I used to count the ways, that you could mold the truth, into a plan to change. Slow down, this bar’s about to close. This isn’t like the city, your witnesses have to go home. The trains can’t run all night, you run all night. I assemble the radio waves of our dreams, I imagine the love and the places we’d see. None of it real but the hole in my head, we’re still talking for ages and ages in bed.

Forgiveness 04:07
Coming home to you is like an endless set of takes of the sunset scene of your favorite film. I live for your evenings and the way you look at me, like you trust I’m good and you always will. Heavens knows I’m jonsin for a piece of worry’s past. I stay up too late trying to let it go. Nothing changes history except the rewriting of facts and finding out what you didn’t know Hold me proudly just because I’m gonna need it when I go. I know I owe forgiveness I know I owe you peace I know I owe you something you can’t hold. Every lonely night pulls the ground underneath, makes me live over. Lying here alone, the volume rushes in. I can’t tell the noises from the notes. I relive the hangover of every word I say and what was right and what just was Hold me proudly just because I’m gonna need it when I go And what the points of waiting for the words if I know I owe forgiveness I know I owe you peace I know I owe you something you can’t hold Every lonely night pulls the ground underneath Makes me live it over
